Students in a BYOL program have the option to purchase a laptop from Southeast 科技 or to bring another laptop that meets the BYOL minimum specifications.

Students in Laptop Included programs are required to purchase a laptop through Southeast 科技. These programs require the use of a high-end laptop and software. 笔记本电脑 that you purchase will be based on your major, and the computer will be added to your 比尔.
软件需求
Before students attend JumpStart orientation, held a week before the start of the semester, they must download Microsoft Office software to their laptop computers.
制定软件
Software necessary for any Laptop Included program will be pre-installed on the laptops; however, since the software is licensed only for student use, students will not be allowed to keep this software after leaving Southeast 科技.
Purchasing Your Southeast 科技 Laptop
Incoming students in Laptop Included programs will be automatically 比尔ed for laptops 专业需要. The full purchase price of the laptop will be 比尔ed in the first semester, and any excess 金融援助 that students receive will be applied 笔记本电脑的价格. Students will receive their laptops at JumpStart. 笔记本电脑将被预先配置 to include the software necessary for the students' majors. 如果学生开始 classes in the summer, they will be able to bring their own laptops for the summer term or rent an STC laptop for the summer. New laptops are unavailable for purchase 夏季学期.
保修和支持信息
Southeast 科技 laptops come with a 3-year manufacturer 保修 to cover parts and
labor in case of manufacturer defect or mechanical failure. 在3年期间，

purchaser of laptops purchased through Southeast 科技, regardless of current enrollment
状态. Students are responsible for repair charges not covered under the manufacturer

limited software support is available. This includes reloading original software from
the manufacturer or assisting with updated driver installations.
Loaner laptops are available free of charge for currently enrolled Southeast 科技

A stolen laptop is a criminal offense and must be immediately reported to law enforcement 东南理工学院.T. 支持中心. 我的.T. 支持中心将提供 serial number and model to any student whose laptop has been stolen. 学生会 be required to complete a theft report with the police department. 报告编号 and police department the report was filed with must be provided to 我的.T. 支持 Center. Students will be responsible for any remaining payments under the Conditional Sales Agreement and will need to work with their instructors and 我的.T. 支持中心 to ensure that they still meet the requirements of their programs. 因为损失和 theft are not covered under the manufacturer 保修, Southeast 科技 highly recommends that students insure their laptops against loss or theft, which can usually be done through a homeowners or renters insurance policy.
